For over 20 years Mr. Hatch has been actively
engaged in the field of surveying, especially
as it relates to civil design projects. Mr.
Hatch has had extensive experience in all
phases of surveying, having been employed
as an Instrument Person, Party Chief, Survey
Supervisor and now in charge of all surveys
provided by Denmon Engineering.
From 1974 to 1978 Mr. Hatch was employed
by Smith and Sanders, Inc., in Jackson/Vicksburg,
Mississippi, first as a Party Chief and later
as a Survey Supervisor. Projects with which
Mr. Hatch was associated included residential
and commercial development projects; a 100
mile boundary survey at Wappapello Lake,
Missouri; a 10,000 acre boundary survey of
mitigation lands in western Tennessee; flood
control studies for the City of Jackson,
Clinton, Richland, Madison, Oxford, City
of Starkville and Grenada, and Hines, Madison
and Rankin Counties, Mississippi; pumping
plants at Marianna, Arkansas and Monroe,
Louisiana; 600 miles of drainage canal for
the Soil Conservation Service and similar
projects; as well as residential development
projects, including Summertree, Lake Trace
and Camelot, in and around Jackson and Vicksburg,
Mississippi.
In 1979 Mr. Hatch joined Denmon Engineering
(Terry D. Denmon & Associates at that
time), first as Party Chief and later as
Supervisor of Surveys.
Mr. Hatch's responsibilities include performing
topographic, land and right-of-ways, cadastral,
hydrographic and assorted special surveys
as required by engineers at Denmon Engineering.
These assignments include water and wastewater
projects, street and road projects, bridge
projects, recreation projects, airport projects,
major drainage and flood control projects,
residential and commercial development, as
well as land surveys, including supervision
of the processing and plotting of data gathered
by all such surveys.
At DE, Mr. Hatch is responsible for the Surveying
Section which uses Sokkia Total Stations
with Sokkia SDR-33's data collectors with
LaDOTD Feature Code Libraries and processing
through MAP or Fieldworks into Microstation
or into ASCII Auto CADD Format. Also used
is the Trimble 4000 SSi GPS Total Station
for Static and RTK Survey with Blue Brick
Radios processing with Trimble TDC-l Data
Collectors and processing into Microstation
or Auto CADD Format.
