What's New At Denmon Engineering?

Bundick Lake Model Completed-April 15, 2011
 

Denmon Engineering, La Tech University, and the Bayou Dechene Reservoir Commission recently completed a scale, 3D model of the proposed Bayou Dechene Reservoir. The model will be displayed in Columbia so residents can visualize the new Lake. Denmon Engineering is the Engineer for all phases of the Bayou Dechene Reservoir that is an approximately 950 acres lake and will create 30 miles of shoreline and produce over 6 million gallons of water per day. The Lake has completed all permitting and land acquisition with construction set to commence in 2011.



ConAgra Lamb Weston Delhi Plant Achieves LEED Platinum Certificaiton-January 25, 2011
 

ConAgra Lamb Weston’s 150 million dollar Delhi Plant recently received a LEED Platinum Certification.  The plant is the first large-scale, frozen food processing plant in the world to do so for its sustainable and green building design and processes. Denmon Engineering, serving as a sub-consultant to Fisher and Sons, Inc. completed the engineering for all site engineering, drainage, retention ponds, and plant utilities.


Denmon Engineering Awarded 2011 Transportation Excellence Award from the LADOTD-January 20, 2011

Denmon Engineering was recently awarded the Transportation Excellence Award from the LADOTD for the Poverty Point Reservoir completed in 2010.  The Poverty Point Reservoir includes a 2860 acre reservoir that included a 95’ concrete, tainter gate spillway and approximately 5 miles of levees and dams, a 250 lot residential development on the Reservoir, 12 cabins, the 18 hole championship Black Bear Golf Course, a 50 boat marina, water intake structure, pumping plant and hotel. Water was first impounded in 2002, and the last of the supporting facilities will be completed in late 2010 or early 2011. Approximate cost of the project is $50,000,000.
