After receiving his BS, Mr. Leslie entered
graduate school at Louisiana Tech University
to pursue his master's in Civil Engineering.
During his thesis research, he was heavily
involved and worked closely with Louisiana
Department of Transportation and Development
(LaDOTD) personnel. His research resulted
in an automated "Contract Time Estimating
System". He has been employed with Denmon
Engineering since January 2, 1996.
Mr. Leslie has extensive experience with
computers including, HEC-l and HEC-II, AutoCAD,
Microstation, In-Express, LADOTD hydraulic
programs, Microsoft Project, highway/runway
design software, and several of the leading
word processors and spreadsheets.
Since joining Denmon Engineering,
Mr. Leslie’s
responsibilities have included
assisting
in sitework and building design
of commercial,
industrial, and retail buildings,
design
of hydraulic structures, project
permitting
through required governmental
agencies, design
of water systems, design of sewer
systems,
design of roadways, design of
storm drainage
systems, code review (ADA, Life
Safety Code,
SBC), preparation of contract
bid documents,
construction administration,
bid review,
construction inspection, review
and approval
of submittals, obtaining project
funding,
preparation of grant proposals,
review and
approval of pay requests, preparation
of
preliminary cost estimates, and
other project
and office tasks.
